Wu Chronicles Vol.1 Vol.2+Wutang Forever 2cd
Wu-Tang Clan es un grupo de hip hop originario de Staten Island, Nueva York, EEUU. (En sus canciones se refieren a Staten Island como Shaolin).
El grupo está formado por ocho MC’s (después de la muerte de Ol’ Dirty Bastard en 2004). Todos sus miembros han lanzado álbumes solistas, y el grupo ha producido diferentes grupos y solistas. Éste era el plan desde el principio del grupo: convertirse en un imperio y tomar la comunidad hip-hop con la saturación de buenos artistas.
El estilo del grupo ha evolucionado con el paso del tiempo y los proyectos solistas de los miembros han diferido en sonido y contenido, pero el grupo es generalmente conocido por la violencia, beats surrealistas y letras agresivas cargadas de metáforas, referencias a la vida el Bronx o a la forma de vivir del lugar, la (StreetLife) de New York City e insinuaciones al folkclore chino y a películas de artes marciales. K-Otix o tambien conocido como The Legendary K.O consiste en un trio de 2 emcees y un productor estos son Damien and Micah y el productor The Are, ellos provenian de Houston Texas pero se radicaron en la East Coast, ellos le dieron vida a K-Otix en el año 1992 y le dieron forma y fondo a su proyecto en la ciudad de Austin,Texas. Sus influencias liricales se basan en teorias filosoficas y conceptos algo abstractos, que son acompañados por un toque de mistisismo y samplers que aportan con espiritualidad a sus ritmos. ellos ya cuentan con 4 albumes oficiales, siendo este el “Universal” el primero editado en el 2001, pero ya cuentan con una basta trayectoria en el underground teniendo en cuenta sus 16 años de carrera. K-Otix tiene un prestigio que los prescede y ese es participar de manera estricta en sus discos y no llenarlos de colaboraciones o los llamados “Feat”. Ellos colaboran y trabajan junto a otros rappers como KRS-ONE, Talib Kweli, Blackalicious, Hieroglyphics, Dj Mitsu y Strange Fruit Project.
